Ukrainian Crypto Trader Kostya Kudo Dies
(MENAFN) Konstantin Ganich, also known as Kostya Kudo, a well-known Ukrainian crypto trader and blogger, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities in Kiev are reportedly considering the case a suspected suicide. Local media claimed that some of his clients included Ukrainian officials and “influential people.”
On Friday, the global crypto market experienced one of its biggest crashes of 2025, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of 100% tariffs on Chinese imports.
Early Saturday, Kiev police found a body in a car, along with a gun registered to Ganich, according to several Ukrainian media outlets.
Authorities described the victim as an “entrepreneur and blogger, whose activities were connected with cryptocurrencies,” but did not officially release his name.
Officials believe he may have taken his own life, saying he had “told his relatives about his depressed mood due to financial difficulties shortly before his death, and sent them a farewell message,” as quoted by a news agency.
Later that day, a message was posted on Ganich’s Telegram channel, confirming the 32-year-old “had tragically perished.”
The news agency, citing unnamed sources, reported that Ganich lost up to $30 million in investments he was managing, as well as his personal funds, during the crypto crash.
The outlet also said his clients may have included Ukrainian officials and “influential people,” and that he had ties to Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence.
