Israeli Airstrikes Hit Central Beirut

(MENAFN) Six individuals lost their lives and 24 others sustained injuries following Israeli air raids carried out early Wednesday on residential buildings in central Beirut, as reported by Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

Lebanon’s Emergency Operations Center, which operates under the ministry, stated that the initial casualty figures were linked to two separate Israeli attacks targeting apartment complexes in the Zoqaq al-Blat and Basta al-Fawqa districts within the capital.

Emergency response crews retrieved human remains from the impacted locations, while officials indicated that victim identification would be conducted through DNA analysis.

In addition, two more Israeli strikes were directed at Beirut’s southern suburbs, according to a correspondent.

On Tuesday, the Israeli military instructed residents in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, along with nearby Palestinian refugee camps, to evacuate. The warning came alongside claims that the targeted locations were allegedly being utilized by the Hezbollah group.
