Turkey Denounces Boko Haram Attack in Chad That Killed Soldiers

(MENAFN) Türkiye has strongly condemned a deadly attack carried out by Boko Haram on a military installation in Chad’s Lake Chad region, which left at least 23 soldiers dead.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry expressed its condemnation of the assault, which targeted a military base in the affected area.

“We condemn the terrorist attack on a military base in the Lake Chad province,” the statement said.

The ministry also conveyed condolences for the lives lost in the incident, expressing sympathy to the victims’ families and the people of Chad.

“We wish Allah’s mercy upon the soldiers who lost their lives in this heinous attack and extend our condolences to their families and to the people of Chad,” the statement said.

Beyond condemning the attack, the ministry reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued support for Chad in its efforts to combat terrorism and maintain stability in the region.
